Hello! Thanks for taking the time to check out my blog. A few simple words to describe who I am: Daughter. Sister. Wife. Momma. Friend. Pastor. Reader. Baker. Cook. Quilter. Musician. Thinker. Planner. Adventurer. Explorer. Writer. Teacher. Hiker. Camper. Board gamer. Theater lover. DIYer. And now, blogger.
I am currently married, a stepmother to three kids, and a mother to a delightful one year old who has sweetly turned my world Upside. Down.–in a good way! My story is long, twisted, tangled, and filled with tales that have made me who I am today. Throughout my journey, I’ve learned the unequivocal primacy of love in all we do. In my first few posts, I talk about why love is inefficient and how I aim to be efficient in other areas of life to create space for what I feel is most important: love. I am most passionate about being efficient when it comes to minimalism in the home and finances, which, in turn, allows me the time and resources to love my family inefficiently. I often share and show love through creating with crafts and baking. I enjoy doing both with kids (important on several levels) and I love being able to show love to others by giving them something I’ve made, such as a quilt or a pie. I’m looking forward to sharing some of my favorite crafts and recipes in the future.
I’ve always been prone to reflection, and now that I’m currently a preacher without a pulpit, I am excited to explore thoughts and insights about my life that I hope will inspire you along your journey.
